Plenty of practice! October 20, 2008 This book is not for those looking for a review, instead it is packed with thousands of questions to practice for the NCLEX-RN exam.
What I found most appealing about this book is that the questions follow the actual test plan, and are not separated according to nursing content. The format also included answers on the same page as the questions, which made it more convenient because I was not wasting time flipping back and forth looking for the rationales.
The book also comes with a CD, which is great for practicing on the computer before you test. I highly recommend this book for anyone that feels they need to beef up on practice questions!
Excellent September 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After taking the Kaplan Course I only used this book to study and I passed in 75 questions. I even had a couple of questions that were exactly the same!! I suggest using the CD since the test is on the computer, and I also believe all the questions that are in the book are on the CD, plus many many more. GOOD LUCK!
CD doesn't work with Vista June 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
1. No index. 2. CD doesn't work in Vista (in any compatibility mode / admin priv)
I suppose I could go out and spend another $50 bucks on their 2008 edition, but screw it. I found Exam Cram software to work fine, Kaplan to work fine and NCLEX-RN Made Easy to work fine. All are great books. I wouldn't buy this, if I were you. Buy the 2008 edition. It _might_ work with the computer.
GREAT!!! May 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent source for NCLEX review!! Contains thousands of questions encompassing every area. The CD, which comes with the text, is awesome if you're the type of person who likes to study using the computer. Only drawback is the questions in the book are not divided by clinical area. However, the CD does nicely classify clinical areas for study and testing. Overall, this book is worth every penny!
CD doesn't work March 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can not upload the CD-ROM program onto the computer - and I've tried on multiple computers. When you attempt to start the program, I receive the error message telling me to reinsert the CD, which doesn't work. the computers I've tried it on have a Windows Vista operating system.
