New but... February 12, 2010 K. Harmon 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book was mailed out very quickly and it was a new book. However, when I received the book, it appeared as though it had been stored in a moist place because the pages were rippled like they would be if they got wet. Some of the corners of the book were a little mashed in, but that could've been due to shipping. All-in-all, it was a good deal with quick shipping. Everything (CD, online code) was included and intact. I'm sure the book was new when I received it, but maybe they don't have the best place to store the books.

This book is full of pictures to help understand how the physical exam is supposed to be preformed.
Bates, Bates, Bates, Bates, Bates!! December 15, 2009 NrsCami (Northeast USA) I love this text and will keep on my shelf. This text was comprehensive and easy to read. Colorful, great illustrations so that assessment techniques are understandable. There is really valuable information on soup to nuts assessment and how to organize your write up.
Can't say enough about Bates.
Somehow I got the video CDs that accompany - did not mean to order those. Did not like them as they are comprised of short segments and you have to keep clicking in and out of the sections between each. I found many free videos online too - so I would not recommend the CD videos. But certainly the textbook is a keeper.
