Product Description A useful review tool in preparing for the NCLEX-RN examination, this full-color guide is based on the latest NCLEX-RN test plan including alternate item formats. In an outline format, it comprehensively reviews all areas of nursing, including maternity, pediatric, medical-surgical, psychiatric, and gerontologic. More than 4,000 practice questions are included in the book/CD-ROM package, along with comprehensive rationales and test-taking strategies. * Text and accompanying CD-ROM provide a total of 4,000 practice questions. The CD-ROM includes all 1,800 questions from the book, plus over 2,200 more. * Every question includes a correct answer, rationales for all responses, test-taking strategy, level of cognitive ability, integrated process, category of client needs, and reference to a major nursing text. * Alternate item format questions, including fill-in-the-blank, multiple-response, and illustration questions, provide exposure to these new formats on the NC! LEX-RN exam. * A comprehensive exam consists of 265 questions with content areas in the same percentages as the current NCLEX-RN test plan. * Pharmacology is emphasized with 13 pharmacology chapters, a medication and intravenous calculation chapter, and a pediatric medication calculation chapter. * Pyramid to Success sections provide an overview of each chapter plus a focused guide for review.

Great NCLEX Book! February 27, 2010 kbaby (Oklahoma City, OK) I recommend getting this book right at the beginning of nursing school. It was very helpful throughout my 2 years of school. I would look at some of my classmate's NCLEX books and this is the best one in comparison. It's easy to understand and is divided by body systems and medications. It is a thorough study book with a very helpful CD. It played a big part in helping me pass the NCLEX exam the first time.
The NCLEX Bible February 23, 2010 Anissa D. Evans (Canton, MS) This book is an excellent tool to prepare for your NCLEX exam! It doesn't give you too much about each topic, but hits the key points you need to pass your exam. The Cd is also a great tool to prepare, and it lets you customize your settings, so if you feel weak in one area you are able to just focus on that area. It's also great to use while in school. This should be required in all nursing schools!
NCLEX SUCCESS!!!! February 19, 2010 J. Gillis (Grand Forks, ND) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After failing the NCLEX two times both with 265 Questions each- I invested in Saunders Comprehensive review. I totally imersed myself in this book doing every chapter and question in the book. I also did like 1800 questions on the accompanying CD with a lot of review from the index the items that I didn't get right. Then I tested again and passed the NCLEX with 120 or 130 questions!!! I could never be happier and say that I know Saunders helped me 100%!!!! I would recommend this book to anyone studying for the NCLEX. Get this book, pass your NCLEX and move on with your life!

AAS in nursing standard February 10, 2010 Daniel Scheffer (Brooklyn,NY Medgar Evers College) This text is a basic standard for review before taking the licensure exam. The text is ok but the CD with tons of review questions and RATIONAL are invaluable.
And our graduating nurses have gone 2 years in a row with 100% passing of NCLEX exam on the first try. WAHOOOOOO!
