This book is a great as an addition to other study resources. It's only alternate item format questions so it really helps you to tune up those "select all that apply" skills. I've definitely seen improvement when taking practice exams, I've been getting a good amount of these kinds of questions right. I give 4/5 stars because I expected more questions of other alternate item formats besides "select all that apply". It does have other questions, but primarily "select all that apply." Overall worth the purchase, and the CD was useful as well.
Great for practicing NCLEX SATA questions July 10, 2010

If you dread "Select All That Apply" questions, you need this book, because the NCLEX is filled with SATA. And I mean filled. (I just took it and passed.) Although it is painful to do so many SATA questions, the 206 questions in this book are great practice. When you take the NCLEX, you will be very glad you did them. I just put the CD in my drive and went through all the questions. There are also "hot spot", audio, etc. questions to practice. This book isn't the only book you should use to study, but it will definitely increase your comfort level when you take the NCLEX.

This is another excellent review book from Silvestri (author of the Saunders series). This book has test-taking strategies for alternate format questions, and 280 practice questions based on client needs. There are charts, photos, drawings, drug labels, and sounds on the CD to help answer questions. One can't pass NCLEX using this book only but it's a great addition to other traditional multiple choice practice books.
