PERFECT January 9, 2009 WORKS PERFECT. WHEN EVERY THING OUTSIDE IS FROZEN STIFF THIS HEATED WATER BOWL IS FREE OF ICE. WE FEED A FEW WILD CATS AND THEY DEPEND ON THEIR WATER SUPPLY IN THE WINTER TOTALLY ON US...........
kept the water from freezing January 7, 2009 Worked as promised! While my normal dog bowl of water froze, this stayed liquid when surrounded by snow! My dog seems to prefer NOT to drink from here though. He will drink from here, but only after trying his other drinking options. So I don't know if the plastic somehow makes the water taste weird or something. I guess it would be nice in stainless steel, but overall, I'm quite satisfied with the operation of this product.
Electric Pet Watering Bowl January 7, 2009 This large watering bowl is idea for winter as it keeps the water from freezing. The cord has a guard to keep pets from chewing it.
Keeps water from freezing December 15, 2008 Keeps water from freezing, works fine. The power cord is covered with spiral metal (sort of like a stretched-out slinky) to keep dogs from chewing on the cord and getting electrocuted. The spiral metal is not very thick or strong, however, so if your dog is an aggressive chewer, it may get through the covering. If your dog doesn't chew or gives up easily, no problem.
Just what I needed February 8, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
K&H 1.5 gal. Thermal Bowl, assorted colors I provide some food, shelter and water for stray animals during the cold winter months. I used to have to break the ice out of the water dish several times a day and hope that my little friends came before it froze over. This thermal bowl is exactly what I needed! We've had temperatures in the single digits, and the bowl keeps the water liquid without a sign of ice. I have recommended it to friends who have outdoor pets.
