Better than expected!!! January 7, 2009
I have difficulty hearing due to ringing in my ears, but was able to hear breath/heart sounds just fine.It compares right up there with my 180.00 stethoscope.You won't be sorry you bought it - i'm not!!! It was under 30.00 and the quality is good.

My patients really enjoy the whimsical design and I enjoy the good quality of the sound I can hear with this very inexpensive tool. I have owned stethoscopes that were well over $100 that didn't have any better sound.
The only drawback is that the heart is a bit heavy.

The chest piece is massive and it doesn't sit well on very many surfaces such as a slender arm. But what is worse is that the sensitivity is terrible compared to a standard stethoscope. Even with my good hearing, it was almost impossible to clearly hear a heartbeat. I was very disappointed with this product.

Bought this for my wife, she's currently taking a Paramedic class. It works great in the home, but while in an Ambulance you cannot hear any vitals. Would reccommend you just pay the extra money to get a Littmman if you need it for any thing other than home stuff!!
