Not what I had hoped - but you get what you pay for. This scope does not have the independent tubes to each ear.

I'll make this short and sweet. I purchased this stethoscope not expecting much for the price of $10. I was surprised at how perfect the sound quality is. I bought this stethoscope to replace my $30 Prestige Clinical I Black Stethoscope by Prestige, which got stolen from my clinical site, and I'm actually happy that it did get stolen. In terms of being able to listen to adventitious lung sounds and even the hard to hear atrial valve, pulmonic valve, tricuspid valve, and mitrial valve the sounds come through perfectly w/o having to strain to hear them. For all you first year RN students make this your first stethoscope, you won't regret it!

Wanted a scope to listen to my dog's heart murmur and didn't want to spend more than about $10. Bought this one, with decision based on existing reviews, and was happy to find that it not only works great, but comes with:
- Three interchangeable bells for listening to infants, children, and adults
- Two interchangeable diaphragms for use with children and adults
- THREE sets of ear tips, plus adjustability for individual comfort.
All this for ten bucks? I'm impressed.
Now to decide whether my seven-year-old, 14-pound, adult dog qualifies as an infant or child.;)

I needed a stethescope for a project I'm working on and of course thought of Amazon that has everything. I was surprised at the quality for the low price. At first I didn't think it worked and realized I just didn't know how to use it. If you didn't go to medical school and don't know, you have to put the large side of the instrument against the chest or you won't hear anything.
