Okay, before i get into it people are wondering weather its better or worse then Modern Warfare 2. To tell the truth, it was, but it got worse.
Single Player.
This can be described in three words. Too many movies. You play for about a minute or two, then there's another clip. Then repeat. It can get really annoying for people who want to actually play the story, not watch it. It is an OK story but not that great.
Multi-Player
Here's what everyone is looking for. Online Multi-Player. When this game came out, it was great online, hundreds of servers, huge maps many game modes, it had a lot of options to chose. Then Dice decides to come out with a patch. This "Patch" make only about 4-5 servers show up, and they don't change.
Punkbuster is something in the game, (not sure exactly what it does, can't tell the difference between Punkbuster and Non- Punkbuster servers.) But it is needed for Ranked Servers, where you can actually rank up. If you didn't get punkbuster when you installed it, too bad for you. I tried, believe me, to get it when i installed it, but it didn't work. Now this "Patch" makes all ranked servers need Punkbuster and I don't have it. I tried to get it now, but unless you installed it when you install the game itself (i tried), you cant install it now. I have tried and tried many times, but it wont work. So now i can only play non ranked servers, which i cant level up on, so there's no point. I cant level up anymore, so my game is useless online. So i dont play it anymore, BECAUSE THE STUPID DICE COMPANY WONT LET ME INSTALL PUCKBUSTER SO I CANT PLAY. Basically, the game itself and the Dice Company stoped me from playing the game. So im screwed. If you get it good for you, but i cant play it anymore.
Aside from my problem, the online before my problem was amazing. Great maps, guns, relistic damage, and destroyable enviroments are great.
Bottom line, you have punkbuster, game is great.
Don't have it, the game is useless.
Great Game, a recommended buy, just get punkbuster.

Let me begin by saying that I am not a hard-core "gamer" and not much of a computer junky either. I do, however, enjoy playing games when not doing my checkbook on the computer. This game is beautiful! The graphics and sounds and stuff are really nice. The best part is that you get to run around and kill people. It is fantastic that they found a way for us to use all kinds of cool army guns and hunt human beings. They can't even arrest you for this stuff! There seems to be a lot of "latent murderers" out there and this game will make your wildest dreams come true. We all wished for some way to experience the thrill of shoving a combat knife into some other guy's spinal cord and here it is. The sound and graphics combine to give a good feeling of what it is like to blow another person's intestines 5 feet in front of him with a high powered assault rifle. I give this game a big thumbs up for helping to explore the world of human bloodshead without the legal considerations.
Battlefield is back June 9, 2010

After a disappointing Battlefield 2142, and then the migration of the franchise to consoles, Battlefield is finally back on the PC, and it's better than ever. Highly recommended. Graphics are fantastic, sound is extremely immersive, maps are beautiful, guns feel "right". It's the most fun multiplayer game I've played in a long time. I think some of the team management options are too simplified when compared to BF2, but overall I highly recommend.

I've been playing BC2 now for about 2 months and it's a good game. The problem that you'll run into is with the Multiplayer. If you try to get all the patches/achievments you will not be able to due to bugs within the game that do not register some actions. It's a known problem that EA has yet to fix.

This game is a little different than previous shooters, but not enough different to give it the great status. After two months of playing it, there seems to be way too many spawn kills, or backshoots where people constantly shoot you from behind, I would say over half the time. Running the game, difficult at best. I bought a brand new quad core laptop and have to run it on low settings because of performance issues, it is one of those games where almost nothing will run it well. The funny thing is the game does not even look great on high settings, so it is like losing performance for no good reason. Also, getting 10 frags in a 20 minute round, that is a chore. What you do get out of this game is a ton of cat and mouse, running around, strategizing, but much less action.
I just do not think it is a great shooter, being old school, I grew up playing Unreal Tournament online, that to me is great.
